$15 DIY BOX BRAIDS

This is my third time putting in box braids and I'm so happy that I took the time to learn. With time and patience, anyone can do it! Some benefits of being able to do my own box braids are:

PRICE:

The only thing I am paying for is the braiding hair which costs $1.79 per pack. When I go to the hair salon they can charge me anywhere from $100 - $200 plus! Doing my own hair saves A LOT OF MONEY.

PAIN:

The point of installing box braids is for me to have a nice protective style so that I can avoid over manipulating my hair. If the braids are too tight (similar to when I get it done at the shop) I can experience a lot of hair breakage. Tight braids don't make the style last longer instead, it just adds a lot of stress on my hair which causes thinning. I avoid this PAIN by simply doing my hair at home!
