How to retain length and grow healthy hair. The culprit of breakage can be anything from incorrect grooming, tight ponytails (pulling at the edges), or alcohol based gels.

Naturalsis72 creates products geared towards moisture retention for body and hair. Latest addition includes cute satin lined beanies.

Eggs are filled with protein and biotin, which makes hair shiny and healthy if eaten or applied as a hair mask. This treatment will contribute to stronger and more resilient hair strands.

The goal is not how fast you can take your protective style down. Instead, the goal is to not damage your hair that you worked so hard to protect.

These are the hair care techniques that I found are most beneficial in order to maintain 4c hair and retaining its length.

All about kinks, curls, and texture.

Cantu shea butter define & shine custard or eco styler gel

leave-in conditioner

spray bottle

denman brush

What You'll Need:
How To Do It:

  1. Apply leave-in conditioner to wet hair.

  2. Work in small sections! Start by applying gel or styling custard to a small section of wet hair.

  3. Run fingers down the hair shaft repeatedly until your hair naturally separates OR use a denman brush to attain the same results.

  4. Use a denman brush to gently detangle the hair and distribute the product. Comb until the hair is smooth and naturally separates.

  5. Twirl each individual separation around your finger until it's tightly spiraled.

  6. Repeat steps 1-5 on the rest of your hair

  7. To speed up the drying process, use a hair dryer diffuser, or use a t-shirt to squeeze excess water from the hair.

  8. Add oil to your curls to lock in the moisture.

  9. To add volume to your hair, separate the curls once they are dry.

Optional: Instead of finger coiling the natural separations of your hair, you can create bigger sections to finger coil.

Optional: Instead of using gel or styling custard, use leave in conditioner to coil wet hair. This method does not work for all hair textures.

Finger coils are great if you are in between hair lengths or just looking for a cute, low-maintenance hairstyle. Yes, this hairstyle is time-consuming, but it lasts a long time.
